Born in 1972, Marc Mitchard was inspired to paint by his excellent art teachers whilst at school. He has continued to paint ever since as a hobby, producing paintings for family and friends in his spare time. Such has been the success of his paintings of wildlife and domestic pets that he was encouraged to approach the gallery where his incredible talent was snapped up immediately. His work is quite exquisite; head and shoulder portraits with neutral backgrounds focusing attention on the subjects which are always extraordinarily detailed and perfectly executed. For the moment his painting remains a part time endeavour and he will only take on a modest number of commissions each year.
