Born in Birmingham , Wendy followed a varied career path before joining her father as a commercial artist. She did this for some years before the computer era took over and the work she did was no longer required. She moved sideways in to the Fine Art world and was fortunate to be signed by Washington Green. Wendy is, perhaps, best known for her contemporary seascapes and depictions of the natural world, working primarily in pastels but we love her evocative depictions of man’s best friend.
Wendy lived in Devon for a number of years where she was inspired by the wonderful countryside around her. She still uses the reference she gathered whilst living there as a base for many of her paintings. She is now based in the Lake District, yet another stunning environment from which to gain inspiration.
