Pippa Hill has been fascinated by clay since childhood. She became a professional ceramic artist in 1985 and for many years was known for her pottery houses and villages. Pippa’s love of animals led her to change direction and since 2003 she has been sculpting a variety of animals in clay from her studio on the Somerset / Dorset border. In this lovely rural environment she finds abundant inspiration and splits her time between sculpting and teaching others in her popular workshops.
Pippa creates wonderful pieces, cleverly and beautifully glazed. She works in stoneware clay and fires to 1260°C. Her pottery is frost proof and can stay outside all year if required.
