Sam Sopwith studied with the renowned sporting artist Neil Forster, under whose expertise she developed her skills in the drawing animals. She then spent a number of years in Italy studying classical portraiture before returning to London, where she established her studio. Since 1999 she has been painting professionally and has undertaken many commissions on a wide variety of subjects, including houses, racehorses, highland cattle, portraits of members of Her Majesty’s Bodyguard and virtually every known breed of dog.
