Peter Szilagyi

Peter Szilagyi grew up at an exciting time in Budapest, Hungary.   He studied shoe design and technology and worked in various associated roles trying to find his niche but was always drawn by the lure of sculpting.   In 2004 he came to the UK and finally began working as an artist.   His two dimensional works include watercolour paintings and crayon drawings but he quickly realised that nothing could make him feel closer to the spirit of his subjects than sculpting. Since then he has produced sculptures mainly of animals including a number of dogs as well as portrait sculptures of human figures.

His sculptures are full of energy and character.  Some pieces render a precise representation of his subjects whilst others are slightly more abstract aiming to encapsulate a spirit in artworks which bear dramatic visible traces of his sculpting activities.

Peter is available to undertake private commissions.  Please contact us for details.
