Kate Denton

Kate studied sculpture and casting techniques at Goldsmiths College under Sit Ivor Robert-Jones.  Since then she has worked as a sculptor for 30 years and has exhibited widely in the UK and overseas, working on her own creative pieces as well as private and public commissions.  Her works are held in collections throughout Europe, in America and South Africa.  In 1993 she was elected to the Royal Society of British Sculptors.  Kate accepts a limited number of bespoke commissions.

“When Denton’s creatures are caught in the middle of movement...the illusion is as perfect as in stop-motion photography.  Better, indeed, since it exists in three dimensions rather than two.  But when they are at rest the effect is even more dynamic, because the muscles are tense, the whole body poised for action.”  John Russell Taylor, Art Critic, The Daily Telegraph
