Chris was born in Plymouth, England.  He studied 3D Design at Plymouth College of Art and Design, and thereafter followed his artistic interests of painting, graphic design and photography.    Some years later he read for a degree in PhotoMedia at Salisbury College where he earned a first class honours degree.  During his time as an undergraduate Chris was awarded the Grand Prize in Panasonic’s Photographer of the Year 2006 as well as PIEA PMA Grand First Prize for the Colleges and Universities category in 2007 where he was the only European winner out of 6,000 entries. More recently, he was awarded the title of, Illustrative and Pictorial Photographer of the Year at the 2008 British Professional Photography awards in Newcastle.

Chris’s work may be seen on tax disc holders and greetings cards in Europe and the USA, as well as nationally and internationally in publications including: Practical Photography, Photography Monthly, What Digital Camera, Digital SLR Photography, Digital Photographer, PMA Magazine, Art of England, BluePrint, Popular Photography, Shutterbug, Progressive Greetings, Greetings Today, The Times Educational Supplement, and WILD magazine. Unmistakable, simple and graphic, Chris has the knack of universal appeal. His slight quirkiness, humour, and attention to detail, has won his work the attention it deserves including that of Stockbridge Gallery Dogs in Art.  Chris looks after all the photography for the gallery and also undertakes studio pet portraiture shoots.
